Delete your Words account
You can permanently delete your Words account and the data associated with it. This action cannot be undone.

Delete your account in the app
- Open Words and sign in with your Google account.
- Open the menu in the top-right corner.
- Select Delete account and data.
- Review the message and confirm the deletion.
The request is processed directly after confirmation. You do not need to contact support when this option works for you.

Send a deletion request
Email us from the Google email address used for your Words account. Include Words account deletion in the subject. We may ask you to verify account ownership before deletion.

Data that will be deleted
- your Words account and account identifier;
- basic profile information associated with the account;
- saved words, translations, language labels, and card settings;
- active authentication sessions associated with the account;
- in-app feedback reports and import reliability records linked to the account.
Data stored only on your Android device may remain until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
Email messages that you sent to support are stored separately from your Words account. They are kept only as long as needed to process the request, investigate the issue, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations, and are then deleted. You may ask us to delete support correspondence that is no longer needed.
Retention after deletion
Your account and associated word-card data are deleted when the deletion request is completed. We do not keep an additional copy for ordinary business purposes.
Limited records may be retained longer only when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or resolving a dispute. Any retained information is limited to those purposes and is not used for advertising.
